A building project for the Lighthouse

If you build it they will come

This year The Lighthouse Church celebrates 20 years since the church was established in Lytchett Matravers, Dorset in 1996. We have had an amazing time over the last 20 years with many testimonies of lives changed and are excited about the season to come. Part of the vision of the Lighthouse has been to establish a strong discipling culture and see believers trained, equipped and sent out as workers for the harvest. Over the last 12 months we have sensed an increasing urgency to establish a training school at the Lighthouse Church.

In June last year I had the very great privilege to meet up with Jean Darnall who, many of you know was based at Lytchett Minister for many years as part of the Post Green Community. We believe that the ministry of the Lighthouse Church is drawing on wells that were dug in that time and we long to see them flowing again in areas of healing, evangelism, the prophetic and discipleship. At the beginning of her stay in the UK, Jean had a vision that has impacted many in the UK that spoke of a time of national awakening that would come upon the UK. We believe that time is now and that we must prepare ourselves for the harvest that is at hand.

An opportunity has arisen for us to acquire a 5-acre plot of land in Holton Heath near Poole. We have already done a considerable amount of work with architects, planners and surveyors and it seems like the smile of God is upon the project. We plan to build a 2800 sq metre (30000 sq ft) centre in this beautiful location on the edge of Wareham forest. It is a huge step of faith for us as we estimate the entire project will cost something in the region of £6 million! We believe that Father has initiated the project and will be faithful to bring it to completion. We would like to ask you to consider whether you might invest in this project financially and/or partner with us in prayer.

Important Update

As of October 2017, we are now in the process of buying the land and our short-term goal is to raise £780,000 to complete the purchase - and we are halfway there!
